Tennis smashes Competition

April 17, 2009 · written by Meghan Michels

The R.A.Long girls’ tennis team stands undefeated so far in the season, proving to be what most the girls’ opinions to be true; they really have no competition. So far the team has crushed all opponents, beating Hawkinson 4-2, and Ridgefield 5-1.

The biggest match of the season will as always be the civil war game.

“Mark Morris is definitely our biggest competition, they are all very experienced.” said Lyndsey Norris-Collette11, a returning varsity player.

The team will be focusing on getting form down this year, and preparing the incoming players. “The freshman this year look ready to learn and improve, I think they’ll help the team do well.” Said Katie Wright11.

Freshman aren’t the only ones doing well, all the girls have been working hard, and playing hard. Giving this year’s squad a competitive edge against the ‘competition’.
