Choir Competes For Glory
April 17, 2009
The most talented singers in Washington will be fighting for the chance to go to further at the state solo & ensemble competition in Ellensburg April 24-25. Representing RAL will be the amazing quartet of Skylar Clark11, Anna Patterson11, Savannah Larson10, and Rachel Brown11 who qualified for state at regionals last month.
In other choir news, the large group chorale contest will be on April 29-30 in Chehalis. The groups will sing before a panel of three judges, given a rating, and then are given time to have a small clinic with one of the judges.
They also do a sight sing, which is looking at a piece of music they’ve never seen before, and singing it on the spot, with no help from a piano or the teacher.
The RAL choir groups will be sure to do well, since last year the Advanced Women’s choir won the competition with the highest score. Good luck RAL!
